Off The Panel #8 - Preacher

In episode eight, the Southerner (Matt Johnson) is joined by his fellow Southerner James Lewis to discuss perhaps the most southern comic (so far anyway)featuring vampires, immortal cowboys, sex detectives, the Klan, and women... made of meat. In which The Off-Panelists celebrate a long-awaited milestone: The 75th Episode! And to mark the occasion, the crew have something up their sleeves. Join the Spaniard, the Sloth, the Southerner, and the Scotsman as they unveil a brand new, listener friendly format to the show that includes such monumental changes as a new, top-of-the-show news segment followed by the main reviews and single issue spotlights. And all in under an hour and fifteen minutes! It's a brand new day at OPP, and the crew i eager to share what they've got with you, the listener. Because if you don't listen, no one will!

In which The Off-Panelists pair up a pair of pooches and win trivia contests, as the Spaniard, the Sloth, and the Southerner go about bringing forth yet another trio of terribly misinformed reviews and opinions. Beginning with their thoughts on the latest Gorr-centric chapter of Thor: God of Thunder, they also review standouts such as the "serious" issue of Daredevil, the Saga-esque issue of Saga and the supposed death of a major character, the conclusion to the "Throne of Atlantis" arc in Justice League, two polar opposite reactions to Hickman's latest chapter of Avengers, and finally, some Justice League of America #1 thoughts. Rantings, whatever. Also, beginning in this episode - The OPP Lightning Round! Which comics make the cut? Which are quietly ignored? All we know is, this podcast is a comics podcast wrapped inside a case for mental illness.
